Laura Mercier Animal Testing Update

This makes me so happy! Christine, from Laura Mercier got in touch with me after reading my rant and review regarding Laura Mercier’s Secret Concealer. Ladies, this will put your mind at ease….Laura Mercier does NOT test their products on animals. They also do not contract outside companies that test on animal. I am so relieved! I love my concealer, and I really did not want to give it up and luckily, I do not have to! I am still going to Holts on a mission…to get more Laura Mercier goodies!!

  2. Companies are very careful about the words and phrases they use about animal testing. They can be deliberately misleading. LM don't test their 'products' (italics) on animals nor do they contract anyone else to.
What about the individual ingredients though?
Lots of companies deliberately use the words 'products' or 'finished products' because the individual ingredients, or some of them, ARE tested on animals...
I'm not saying LM is one of these culprits but I would grill them further on this if you haven't already.
Also, be careful about 'lists' of cruelty-free companies. Peta, for instance, list companies as this who are very suspect! Different levels of rigour used by different assessors. In the UK, BUAV, are the people to listen to, they are very rigourous about who they give their leaping bunny symbol to.
