Hot Mess Monday - Lindsay Lohan Round II

You know you are a complete wreck when you are featured on Hot Mess Mondays twice in such a short period of time. Here is Lindsay Lohan at her 23rd birthday celebration. She may be older, but she certainly is not wiser. Before I get to her clothing, I will discuss her make up. Too much black eye make up, not enough foundation, odd lip colour, flat out disgusting. Regarding her hair, the extensions are looking pretty ratty, time for some new ones. On to the wretched outfit, if you can even call it that. The shorts make me sick, especially with her pretty Herve Leger bikini bottom poking out. I understand that her outfit is supposed to be beachy and fun, but she missed the whole beachy part. Her shirt has too much material in the back and not enough in the front. Her fringe boots are totally inappropriate for the setting and I kind of really hate them. I am thankful that she got a pedicure though. Her bikini is quite cute, although awful for tanning purposes, but then again she is one of the creators of Sevin Nyne so I need not worry about her having a tan.

I hope one day I can use her for Fabulous Friday...no, no I take that back…carry on with your fug ways Lindsay. I heart you and your messy life.

Fabulous Friday - Megan Fox

Forget the basic little black dress! Fox balances chic and sultry in a classic Hervé Leroux sheath with sheer peekaboo panels, a gold Amrapali cuff and Brian Atwood pumps at the movie's South Korean premiere. Megan Fox is undeniably one of the sexiest women ever. She looks absolutely stunning in this dress and her hair, make up and accessories compliment wonderfully. Good job, Megan! Petite Fashion Tips from Lloyd Boston & JNY Style Guy

Are you a petite cutie? Generally, if you are 5’4 or shorter, you are considered to be petite. I am 5’3 and I love it! I can wear sky high heels and not look like a giant. The one downside is sometimes I have difficulty finding clothing that flatters my petite figure. Hot Mess Monday - Ashley Olsen

Here is Ashley Olsen, aka Troll #1, at the CFDA Awards wearing this heinous dress. I call her Troll #1 because her face actually reminds me of a troll. As you may have guessed it, Mary Kate is Troll #2. Back to Ashley, the dress is her own creation from her new fashion line called The Row. Troll #1 has decided to move away from acting, because she realized that she lacks the ability to do so, and move into the fashion industry. Hopefully, she will soon realize she sucks at that also. This dress makes me nauseous. It is absolutely disgusting on her and would be on everyone else, with the exception of an 80 year woman. Guess what else is driving me crazy about this - her roots. It's like these blond girls are all aware of the fact that it drives me wild and they purposely don't get them re-done. I can't say much about her make up, it neutral and simple, which gets approval from me. Although her make up is decent, her dress is so disgusting that she fails. Sorry Grandma!

This weeks Fabulous Friday celeb is Blake Lively. Here she is at the CFDA Awards, in a vibrant and gorgeous pink Michael Kors dress. I hate Michael Kors, but I just love the colour of this dress and I think it looks great with the nude Louboutins. It is bright and cheery, so her decision to go neutral with her make up was great. Her roots are in desperate need of colouring, but I will let it slide this one time. Below is another picture of Blake Lively alongside fellow Gossip Girl star, Michelle Tracthenberg. Tracthenberg is also in Michael Kors, simple and elegant. She is in desperate need of a spray tan though...

Shopaholics, it is time to celebrate. H&M has announced that Jimmy Choo is designing a line for H&M this autumn! The collection will be available from November 14th in approximately 200 stores worldwide. Get ready to start camping out! The collaboration includes women's and men’s clothing with accessories, such as shoes and handbags to compliment.

H&M has previously collaborated on collections with both pop icons and designers, including Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli, Viktor & Rolf and Matthew Williamson.

Summer Proof Hair

Summer is here and for most of you, so is frizz and above is a picture of Giesle Bundchen to make you all jealous of her fabulous hair. Hydrate your hair and avoid looking like a total mess this summer. Tame your frizz by soaking up your thirsty strands in moisture. Start off with a prewash treatment like Aveda Beautifying Composition. It is a lubricating oil that you brush through your hair before shampooing. After about twenty minutes, shampoo your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, try Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner. After towel drying your hair, apply a lightweight leave in such as Ojon Revitalizing Mist, to soften the texture of your strands even further. This weeks Fabulous Friday celeb is Lauren Conrad. Here she is at the Thompson Hotel in LA for the launch of her new book LA Candy. Yup, you read correctly, I said book. Lauren Conrad wrote a book. Funny, right? I guess she has a lot of free time now, because she is no longer a cast member of The Hills, and she taught herself how to write...or hired someone to write for her. Whatever, back to my original point...her outfit. I think she looks great in this Phillip Lim Chevron Ruffle Dress paired with the perfect pair of Christian Louboutin pumps. Her make up is simple with just enough dark liner to give her eyes an alluring look. Her hair is surprisingly braid less, thankfully. Her loose up-do completes her glam look. The reason why I am writing this post is because I gave myself a Kardashian style burn this past weekend and it still kills! I am usually a nut when it comes to protecting my skin from the sun, but that was the last thing on my mind while I was sitting outside for three hours in Yorkville this past Saturday. Needless to say, protecting your skin from the harmful rays of the sun is absolutely paramount, whether you have light skin or dark skin. Summer Hair Trend: Braids

This look is very low key and glamorous. It adds a twist to straight or wavy hair. Also, this is the biggest hair trend of the summer and looks perfect on everybody. To get this look, create a side part and braid two 1- inch sections, about an inch apart from one another and secure with bobby pins. To get her beach sexy waves try spraying your hair with Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray. Simple and sexy; perfect for summer.

Fabulous Friday - Ashley Tisdale

I absolutely love love this look! Here is Ashley Tisdale looking fab at the MTV Movie Awards this past Sunday. Ashley strutted down the red carpet in a purple leather Elise Overland cocktail dress. Her belt perfectly compliments the dress and the Paul & Joe "Gypsy" wedges give the overall look a super sexy edgy feel. Ashley's make up is also just right. The peachy colours perfectly suit her brunette hair and tanned complexion. Her decision to keep her make up simple was definitely a great choice. 

Congrats Ashley for not looking like a hot mess!!!

Flawless Finish: Primer

I am a true believer in using primer. It is not necessity, but it is great for special occasions or long nights. It allows you to obtain a flawless finish that lasts. Primers are not only just for grasping onto make up, many brands offer color-correcting formulas, such as green formulas that counteract redness, apricot hues help with dark spots and other annoying flaws and lavender that help with natural yellow undertones. Make Up For Ever and Smashbox (shown above) both offer different hues for different issues. 

For those of you who require a heavy duty mattifier that's ideal for smoothing scars, wrinkles or large pores, try silicone based primers. Below is an excellent one by Benefit called Dr. Feel Good.

If you have normal to oily skin, your best bet is to go with something that is lightweight. Try a gel based primer such as Nars Make Up Primer shown below.

Perfect Match: Bronzer & Blush

Here are few tips for applying bronzer and blush. Always apply bronzer first, wherever the sun would naturally hit. Try applying on your forehead, nose and chin, when using powder. If you prefer gel bronzers, apply to your entire face. After you have applied bronzer, dust on blush on the apples of your cheeks. Bronzer and blush are a perfect combination; bronzer gives your face an entire glow and blush brightens you up. 

For a great bronzing powder try....Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna...

For a perfect gel bronzer try.....Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Brush...

Secondly, the right blush...try Nars Orgasm...possibly the most popular blush around, and generally flattering on almost all skin tones. 

For something, not so peachy pink, try Nars Madly, my personal favourite.

Hot Mess Monday - Rumer Willis

Who is this you ask? Well, it's Rumer Willis...best known for her work in...well...nothing...She is Bruce Willis' daughter and she also handed out the awards at the Golden Globes, that's pretty much it. Anyway this is how Rumer decided to show up at the MTV Movie Awards last night. Hurts my eyes. Really, I'm not kidding. This awful dress was created by Emilio Pucci. It reminds me of stained glass windows. Guess what? I don't like stained glass windows therefore; I don't like this dress. I won't say anything about her make up, because there really isn't much she can to make her face more tolerable. Thanks for coming out Rumer. Next time please wash your hair before you do.
