Volcanic Ash Exfoliator

For all skin types. Volcanic ash (in the form of mineral-rich clay), sugar crystals and natural enzymes combine to exfoliate and remove excess oils from the skin.

NOTE: The VAE also contains sulfer, so be careful if you have sensitivies to it.

Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask

VATM contains natural volcanic ash to cleanse and treat the skin. The mineral-rich ash works with oat kernel flour to help absorb excess oil from the skin's surface. A combo of natural oils (lavendar, sunflower, safflower seed and evening primrose) help lubricate the skin, leaving it feeling soft and moisturized. It helps to even out the skin's texture and leaves the skin feeling smooth and perfected for makeup application. The unique formula glides effortlessly onto the skin, allowing ample playtime. Multi-tasking MAC Products

I love products that are multi use, MAC seems to have many of those. There are four products that I particularly love that have multiple uses: Fix+, eyeshadow, clear lipglass, and Mineralize Skinfinish.

Fix +

This is truly a wondrous product. It is a vitamin and mineral infused spray. It also contains green tea, chamomile, cucumber and the fresh scent of Sugi. This is amazing used on bare skin as a refresher or a toner. It can also be used to set make up and to remove a powdery look. Also, it can be used for applying make up and giving it a more intensified look. After loading your brush with eyeshadow or blush, spray Fix+ and then apply to your face. Another amazing use for this product is on your hair. Yup, spray it in your hair to freshen it up!

Eyeshadow

Have you every thought of using eyeshadow as blush? It obviously won't work with all colours, but have you ever come across and eyeshadow and thought - this would look great on my cheeks!? I can't take credit for this discover. My friend Kim suggested that I use MAC Cosmetics Expensive Pink eyeshadow as a blush and it looked amazing! I now use it more on my cheeks then I do on my eyes!

Clear Lipglass

Apply it on your lips for extra shine, but apply it on your bare eyelids and get a super sexy naked look without trying. I love love this!!!

Mineralize Skinfinish

I love Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish. Sometimes I apply it all over my face to get a nice glow, or certain parts of my face to highlight. I recently swiped it over my eyelids and brow bone and loved it! It's great for mornings when I don't want to put too much effort into doing my make up and it also works perfectly for going out combined with my other eyeshadows.

Clean Up!!!

Old make up and dirty tools can harbour bacteria, leading to infections and hideous breakouts. Here are some rules to live by:

Liquid and cream foundations: 12 – 18 months
Concealer: 12 – 18 months
Face powder: 12 – 18 months
Powder blush or bronzer: 12 – 18 months
Cream blush or bronzer: 12 – 18 months
Mascara: 6 months
Eyeliner: 12 – 18 months
Liquid Eyeliner: 6 months
Eye Shadow: 12 – 18 months
Lipstick: 2 years
Brushes: wash weekly
Sponges: wash weekly; replace monthly
Moisturizers: 2 years
Eye Cream: 6 months
Sunscreen: 2 years
Face Cream: 2 years

Above and beyond these rules, if any of your products smell or look funky...toss ‘em. If you find things that you have not used in a year, it is time to say good – bye and hello to something new.

Mario Badescu - Whitening Mask

I was cruising around Yorkville today with my love and I realized I was out of my most cherished skin product. Mario Badescu has an amazing Whitening Mask that I cannot live without. You use it twice a week for about twenty minutes and it will do the trick. It helps brighten skin, smooth out discolorations and for those of you that have stubborn acne scars or discolorations from the sun this product will be amazing for you.
