Hourglass Cosmetics

I have never tried this line, but I recently came across it. I believe it is fairly new. Here is what Sephora has to say about Hourglass cosmetics:

My girlfriend Sarah first told me about Make Up For Ever's Full Coverage Concealer so, I decided to check it out. I was in the market for a full coverage concealer. To be honest, the concealer that I had been using wasn't cutting it and I was sick and tired of coming home at the end of the day and being frightened by my own reflection. I decided to take a trip to Sephora to fix my issue. I asked the girl to recommend the best full coverage concealer with great staying power. She as well recommended Make Up For Ever's Full Coverage Concealer. As a bonus, it is waterproof and that means amazing staying power. Waterproof concealer is the best thing that I have heard of in a very long time! Needless to say, I am happy I took the advice of the Sephora sales girl and my girlie! Love!

Plump Puckers with Lip Fusion!

Valentine's day is just around the corner, so ladies, get your lips ready. To get the perfect pucker that you desire all you have to do is use Lip Fusion by Fusion Beauty! I love Lip Fusion! I don't know how I managed before Lip Fusion! It is the BEST lip plumper out there. Absolutely no contest! I'm surprised that I am only writing about this product now, but I guess since it is Valentine's day in two days, there is no time like the present. Ladies, if you haven't tried this product, get serious about life and hit up the nearest Sephora and hook yourself up. I know other ladies that swear by this product! Not only is this product amazing, but they have the best shades ever. My favourites colours at the moment are Smooch, Sugar and Sweet. Three of the colours in their line of lip plumper's also make your teeth look whither. The colours are Sugar, Ripe and Bloom. I love love love!! Now, for those of you who want seriously plump lips try using Lip Fusion XL, which is a night treatment that you use before you get your beauty rest, that has two times the micro-injected collagen and hyaluronic acid. So, ladies get your puckers ready and spread the love!

MAC Cosmetics Eyeshadow Finishes

Since I did the different finishes and types of lip gloss and lipstick from MAC Cosmetics, I decided that I would do explanations of the all of the different finishes for their amazing eyeshadows.

Frost: An iridescent shine that adds a highlight to any colour.
Lustre: Smoothly pearlized; intensely frosted with deluxe ultra-fine "conditioned" finish.
Matte: Hi-colour pay-off in a no-shine matte finish.
Matte2: Intense, opaque matte finish with exceptionally rich colour payoff.
Satin: Pure colour in a satin-style finish. Provides a soft subtle non-frost, light-refractive sheen. Veluxe: Superfine pigment rich and very luxe. Supple to apply. Provides silky smooth matte finish.
Veluxe Pearl: Vibrantly-toned, velvety soft, shimmering metallic. Veluxe eyeshadow, now overlaid with high-shine pearl.
Velvet: Soft look finish with high-colour intensity. Has a plush velvety look and feel.
Starflash: Starflash is a"creamy" powder with a smooth application and a pearlized, medium buildable coverage.

Hello Kitty at MAC

For those of you ladies that are patiently waiting for the release of the Hello Kitty Collection...well wait no more! The line has been released today, two days earlier than it was supposed to! You can shop the collection at all MAC locations as well as their website!!! The line is spilt up into two parts Hello Kitty Mild and Hello Kitty Wild, to best suit you and your personality. MAC Cosmetics Lipstick Guide

Yesterday it was all about lip gloss, so for today I am going to list all of the different types of finishs that MAC Cosmetics offers for the lipsticks. This guide will make it easy to pin point exactly what type of lipstick you like when it comes to MAC.

Amplified Creme - ultra-creamy with a soft shiny finish. Imparts rich colour

Cremesheen - creme-based lipstick that imparts bright full colour, with a soft and supple shine.

Frost - excellent colour payoff with medium to high frosted shimmer-and-shine finish.

Glaze - low-colour impact with sheen-style finish. Glazes the lips, makes them shine

Lip Treatment - colour-free and provides natural healthy-looking lips.

Lustre - demi-sheer with wet-look lustre finish. Makes lips look soft, smooth, ultra-moist.

Matte - pigment rich with intense colour pay-off. No-shine, - an all matte finish.

Satin - colour-rich with a semi-matte finish. Conditions while adding intense colour.

Attention Lipgloss Lovers!

Well, I am going to do a few helpful posts to help you decide on what is right for you when it comes to lip products and others products. Now back to lip gloss, here is a ran down of everything you need to know, before you make that life altering decision...on lip gloss.

MAC Lipglass makes the lips shine like glass. This highly concentrated formula requires only a tiny bead to completely cover your lips. MAC Tinted Lipglass shades combine sheer colour with a glass-like shine.

Lipgelée is an ultra-sheer gloss that provides subtle colour with a glistening finish. Lipgelée is packaged in a convenient squeeze tube with a slant-tip applicator for quick, easy application.

Lustreglass is a fusion of lustre and the Lipglass formula. It creates a beautiful pearlized glaze on the lips with a soft, sparkle finish. It is lightweight and can be worn alone or over lipstick.

Plushglass sheer lipgloss is designed to create the appearance of fuller lips. It contains a blend of ingredients to cool and gently warm the lips at the same time, letting you know the formula is at work.

Cream finish: has no shimmer just a smooth glossy finish.

Clean Up!!!

Old make up and dirty tools can harbour bacteria, leading to infections and hideous breakouts. Here are some rules to live by:

Liquid and cream foundations: 12 – 18 months
Concealer: 12 – 18 months
Face powder: 12 – 18 months
Powder blush or bronzer: 12 – 18 months
Cream blush or bronzer: 12 – 18 months
Mascara: 6 months
Eyeliner: 12 – 18 months
Liquid Eyeliner: 6 months
Eye Shadow: 12 – 18 months
Lipstick: 2 years
Brushes: wash weekly
Sponges: wash weekly; replace monthly
Moisturizers: 2 years
Eye Cream: 6 months
Sunscreen: 2 years
Face Cream: 2 years

Above and beyond these rules, if any of your products smell or look funky...toss ‘em. If you find things that you have not used in a year, it is time to say good – bye and hello to something new.
